A week and a half ago was the big day. Darla and Leland’s big day I should say. As a Knoxville wedding photographer I was able to shoot at a great location, Sampson’s Hollow. Although the heat of the day was only surpassed by the love and warmth of the couple, the wedding was a fabulous event. A country setting with horse drawn carriage, rustic meeting house, fantastic sunset and tons of family and friends. I don’t think I have ever seen a bride so bubbling as Darla. I mean really, she had enough energy to fill two reception halls. The details were so cute. Bird houses on all the tables, two blue eggs in a little homemade nest at each place setting, two little birds on the cake. It was just the cutest (did I just say cutest?)
The girls started the night before by staying at the quaintest accommodations right there on Sampson’s Hollow. The compound is located just outside Knoxville at the edge of the smokey mountains. And let me tell you folks, if you want superb wedding planning and a fantastic staff, please check them out at the link above. Family owned and operated, I have neve seen a staff work as hard to make a day go just right!
But back to the wedding. I shot Darla a few months ago at the Montessori park in Knoxville, and we also went down town. You might remember her, she was the one on the police car, dancing in the middle of Gay street, and just having a blast in her dress. Great shoot. Well her day finaly came and the couple couldn’t be happier. Lelund, her guy, friend, love of her life, was over in Iraq when the shoot was taken. He returned safely and should be home for good. Well enough of me jabbering, on with the pics.

Darla is just a bit on the wild side…

Is this the cutest flower girl or what…
